From our readers:

The Santa Clock by Jimmy Badavino.

I just got it in from his website and it is one of the most beautiful books I've seen for Christmas in some time. Great story with awesome illustrations. I highly suggest people look into this one.

-Mike Yount

This is destined to become a timeless classic. The story is warming and magical and the illustrations are like nothing I've seen in many years. Nostalgic and wonderful.

-Denniz Stern

The book is refreshing and fun to read. A must buy for the kids.

"The San Francisco Examiner" recognizes 'Punkins' on their TOP 2011 list of children's fall pumpkin books!!!

There are many children's book about the fall, but this one touches on a different subject. The way we seem to change a name or develop a slang word. At the same time, it teaches the art of cooperation. The designs are magnificent and you feel as if you are walking through the book.

I loved this book. Filled with great characters and an even greater story line, you will not be able to put this book down from the moment you pick it up. If you like stories of family, organized crime, betrayal, justice, revenge, loyalty and lots of action, this one is a must read. It keeps you guessing, has you at the edge of your seat, and never fails to deliver. I can see it making it to the big screen someday. I would recommend buying this book to anyone, you won't regret it!

Characters are very well set up. The writing creates imagery that connects to all your senses. - Barb C.

Wow. After spending the last three nights getting to know the people in this book, I didn't want it to end. I started reading it over again 'cause it was like watching a great mob movie. The author does a great job building the characters and the city they rule. Definitely a must have for any gangster fanatic.

-Sal V.

The book is written in a way that makes it seem as if someone is sitting there right in front of you, telling a great story. Reads quick and smooth. Anyone from the city this novel is based on will appreciate the locations and local references. Anyone not familiar with the area will enjoy a great crime story.

-CJ R.

I loved it. About 2/3 of the way through I thought it was becoming a predictable gangster story but then as the ending begins to unfold it proved to be unique in its' own way. I, did not want to put it down. I was looking for a good novel that I could get into and I found it here. -Charlie R.

I thought this was a very good read, especially for a first time author. Being female, I wasn't sure what to expect from a gangster novel, but after starting the book, I just didn't want to put it down. If it weren't for having to go to work the next day, I would have finished it in a couple of days. The writer has a way of getting you to really care for the characters, and the detail for scene setting is remarkable. Can't wait for the next one.
